Apple 2tb Hard Drive External
Hope I'm posting in the right place. My question is really made up of two parts.
I'm an amateur photographer who has a 500G iMac. Currently I have a 1TB WD MyBook that I use Time Machine to back up my whole computer on. The last time I loaded pics into iPhoto, it told me that the computer was running out of space to store my iPhoto library. So, I'm thinking I should find a way to store only my pictures on the 1TB drive that I have and buy a 2TB drive to back that and the computer up on.
Is it possible to store my iPhoto library on an external drive?
Is a 2TB drive big enough to back up both my computer and the 1TB drive or should I be considering a 3TB (much more expensive) drive?
Thanks for any help! ?
